Words of the Week is a fun enrichment activity at Oak Leaf Elementary designed to boost vocabulary and community spirit. Students have the chance to submit words they’d like to see featured. Each week during the morning news, we spotlight two words: a more complex word for upper grades and a simpler word for lower grades. Students listen for clues about each word and then make their best guesses as to what the words might be. This engaging activity encourages curiosity, builds vocabulary, and helps bring our school community together.
