Morning News

We have a Morning News program that runs at the beginning of each day. Our News Crew is made up of 5th grade students that help with this. It has been a great opportunity for these students to be leaders in our school. Some of the things we use this time for include making daily announcements, reviewing expectations, discussing problem-solving and conflict resolution strategies, practicing skip counting, spotlighting teachers and staff members, and learning new vocabulary words. We have found it has helped us to be united as a school in many ways!

We are so happy to be continuing the Morning News program this school year, and have decided to add a new segment that includes focusing, as a whole school, on one book each week. We plan to use these books to help teach, discuss, and reinforce relevant topics that contribute to maintaining a safe and positive school culture.
