Oak Leaf Elementary School is being constructed in west Herriman and anticipated to open for the 2022-23 school year. Boundaries for this new school were approved by the Jordan Board of Education on November 24, 2020. The boundaries will affect students at Bastian, Silver Crest, Herriman, and Butterfield Canyon Elementary Schools. In the Silver Crest boundary, students living west of 5600 West will either go to Herriman or Bastian Elementary Schools. In the current Herriman Elementary School boundaries, students living west of 6400 West will attend the new school. Developed areas south of Herriman Boulevard and west of Mustang Trail Way will remain at Bastian Elementary. Undeveloped land in the same area will move to the new school.
